FoxRAP is a Green Lake-area nonprofit working throughout the Upper Fox River watershed to strengthen local food systems, support small farms and farmers, preserve farmland, and restore our connection between people and the land. Their mission is centered around building a thriving local agriculture network where farmers, landowners, and community members can work together to create a healthier and more resilient future.

Meet FoxRAP’s Executive Director
This year is also a great opportunity to meet the new Executive Director of Foxhead Regenerative Agriculture Project.
FoxRAP’s work goes well beyond farming techniques. The organization works on farmland access and transitions, local food networks, land conservation, soil health, water quality, and helping keep working land connected to future generations of farmers.

Saturday, October 17 — Regenerative Agriculture at Home
Learn how regenerative agriculture isn’t just something that happens on large farms. FoxRAP will discuss practical ways to bring regenerative practices home, including biochar, composting, and growing food in small spaces — with something for beginners and experienced gardeners alike.
Sunday, October 18 — Legacy Land Conservation
What happens to the family farm or property when the next generation takes over? FoxRAP will explore conservation easements, estate planning, keeping a connection to family land, and the difference between fair and equal inheritance.
These are important conversations for anyone interested in the future of Wisconsin’s farms, food systems, and rural communities.
FoxRAP Has Been Busy!
Foxhead has already been bringing people together through workshops, local food and farm resources, farmland transition programs, conservation efforts, and community events. Their Upper Fox Local Food & Farm Guide and interactive map connects consumers with local farms and sustainable food producers, while their Land Hub provides resources for people looking for farmland, leasing land, transitioning a farm within the family, or creating a lasting farmland legacy. (Side note: Heritage Hemp Farm is a featured farm in the 2026 Farm Guide on page 14 and 15.)
Their recent work has also included programs focused on farmland conservation and land access for regenerative farmers, helping address one of the biggest challenges facing the next generation of farmers.
FoxRAP has hosted and participated in a variety of workshops, farm events, food-system programs, and land-transition initiatives in the region. There is always something happening — and more events are on the way!
